![]() I met in the street a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, his cloak was out at the elbows, the water passed through his shoes -- and the stars through his soul. I love that you get cold when it is 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an
hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle in
your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend a day
with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are
the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not
because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here
tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with
somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. "When someone loves you for a long, long time... REALLY loves you, then you
become Real. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been
loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very
shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real, you
can't be ugly." |
Well, we both graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1999 and then went on to UC Davis. We also both graduated as Biological Sciences majors with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior in June of 2003. It was great because we had the majority of our classes together, so even though we both went to the same college, we still managed to study together and motivate each other, although people might think this would be a distraction. Larry left for Temple University Dental School on August 11th, 2004. *sigh* He'll will graduate in May 2008. I just graduated from UC Berkeley's Optometry School and am working in Stockton, CA.
Here is a list of "Reasons why I love Larry" that I made four years ago...in 1999 or 2000 I think? I put each reason on a piece of paper and put them in a jar for him. Some of the reasons may seem weird, but that's how I feel. :) | ||||||||||||||||
